Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury commented on the Calcutta Medical College incident, stating that under Didi's rule, liquor shops are flourishing in Bengal, which is why even police personnel are consuming alcohol. He said that Didi should compose a song for drunkards that can be played during Holi. Accusing the administration, he remarked that it is because of such police officers that incidents like RG Kar have occurred.
